The P.E. program at Linda Lyon is wonderful. The kids have so much fun and genuinely look forward to it every day. Our amazing P.E. teachers consistently come up with the most creative activities that not only keep our students engaged but also instill the joy of staying healthy while exercising. It’s truly a delight to see them enjoying themselves while learning valuable skills.
Our LL family had so much fun during the "Anything But A Backpack" day! It was amazing to see all the creative ideas the Cubs came up with. Everyone really went above and beyond to bring something unique!
Our third graders were ready to dive into place value and contraction/grammar surgery. Their intelligence and enthusiasm for learning is truly remarkable. They embodied the role of a doctor from head to toe, which was so much fun for them.
Linda Lyon Elementary sent 8 C.I.A members along with sponsor, Mrs. Aldridge, to the TEPSA (Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association) Leadership Workshop. During the 5-hour training, students and sponsors learned to explore and develop their personal leadership styles, discover how to effectively communicate, identify leadership challenges and problem-solving techniques, and connect with student leaders from across the district.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our student council and Cubs in Action, we have successfully collected a whopping 3,772 cans for our Pack the Pantry event! This marks the most successful Pack the Pantry we have had to date, and it wouldn't have been possible without the support and effort of our Linda Lyon families. Their commitment to helping our community is truly inspiring. LLE will keep the momentum going and continue making a positive impact!
It was a wonderful experience to see the 3rd graders engaged and excited to learn alongside our 4th graders. The enthusiasm they brought to the activities was infectious! Their collaboration made this event fun and engaging for all of the students involved. Not only did they play games, but they also learned how things change and move through energy.
LLE Staff had so much fun on Storybook Character Day! Though it may not have been exactly 101 Dalmatians, it was really close, and the excitement and joy was definitely present. We had so much fun joining in with our Cubs for Storybook Character day!
It is very exciting to share that the Cubs in Action recently held a meeting to establish their goals for the future. They learned that when they write down their goals, they can expect a 33% success rate and when those goals are shared with their parents, the success rate jumps to 72%! This was a significant boost for them, and it speaks volumes about the importance of involving our families in their journey. We are feeling incredibly motivated and optimistic about what lies ahead for our Cubs In Action.
Our 4th Grade Cubs recently put on a beautiful show dedicated to honoring all the veterans in our community, and it was a true privilege to celebrate with all of the families. Their performances were filled with admiration and respect, shining a light on the sacrifices made by our brave veterans.
What an amazing day we had at the Cub Fun Run! The weather was beautiful, and it was fantastic to see the kids full of energy, showing up in big numbers to support this wonderful event. A huge thank you to all the families who participated and those who came out to cheer on our students! Your support makes a remarkable difference, and it truly shows our community spirit. Kudos to the Linda Lyon Elementary School PTO for their outstanding organization and efforts in making this event a success! We will continue to show our pride and support for our school and community.
